Board Revision:
rev0_2
Description of Issue:
PoE cannot provide power to the board normally.
Cause of problem:
Both RJ45 and PoE Power Module have a Bridge Rectifier.
RJ45 Diagram:
SDAPO PM1202 12V2A PoE Power Module:
Note: MB6S is a single phase bridge rectifier
Their typical application diagram also implies it having a bridge rectifier on board.
Solution:
Either change the RJ45 Connector or change the PoE power module.
Solution
Change the RJ45 Connector to ARJM11C7-114-BA-EW2. This connector does not have internal rectifier and is also used in sinara-hw Thermostat.
Sinara-hw Thermostat Power Path
RJ45 Connector(ARJM11C7-114-BA-EW2) -> Bridge Rectifier -> Soft Start and Filtering Network -> Ag5300 PD Module(with no bridge rectifier) -> Supply 12V Power
New Kirdy PoE Power Path
RJ45 Connector(ARJM11C7-114-BA-EW2) -> SDAPO PM1202 12V2A PoE Power Module(with internal bridge rectifier) -> LC Noise Filtering Network -> Supply 12V Power
