Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
These tend to surprise and confuse users and give them an overly poor impression of ARTIQ systems:
Recommend the non-isolated cards instead.
Jitter issue remains.
i.e. jitter is itself an issue or it's not clear enough in the datasheets? The line is "Note that isolated TTL cards are less suited to low-noise applications as the isolator itself injects noise between primary and secondary sides."
Jitter and EMI are separate issues.
There are two "isolators". One is the DC-DC converter that powers the user connector side, and which is primarily responsible for the radiated noise. The other one is the signal isolator, which transfers the logic levels between the two power domains, and introduces jitter on the signals while doing so.
Ok. Note revised in #77, hopefully clearer/more accurate.
