Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
If we put "Galvanically isolated" in the front page features, we should probably provide isolation specs in the datasheet.
There are some example spec from the MAX14434 datasheet.
But the isolator is after the I/O transcievers, we really shouldn't be seeing an extreme voltage around the isolator?
There's also a resistor between the power planes which I doubt withstands anything near 5kV, and maybe other things. @topquark12 can you help here?
The voltage is determined by what the user connects.
I think this spec is best tested with a HV insulation tester rather than guesstimated by looking at the spec sheet. Layout features have a big impact on how much voltage the board can actually withstand.
