Customers often have problems when they try to ping the Kasli from network different from our default 192.168.1.0/24.
This field would engage customers to tell us their desired network settings so that they can start their operations faster, which may be more safe in case of Kasli-SoC, which needs taking out the SD card when there is no connection.

needs taking out the SD card when there is no connection

It doesn't. You can make a point-to-point Ethernet link with a computer and static IP settings on both sides. That's even possible with the default installation of windoze.

Well even with this, it actually often ends up with a support request, especially if the customer is new to it.

Maybe, but in such case the correct response is P2P Ethernet link, not SD swap.
