The firmware needs a full line-by-line design review from someone who understands how the circuit + firmware are supposed to operate and until that’s happened I would discourage people from trying to use it.

I've just spent two long days slogging through a host of annoying behavior with Thermostat firmware. I misunderstood the level of readiness of Thermostat for use in my lab. It would definitely have helped set my expectations if there were a warning on the lid of the firmeware about it's current status.

I can see that being annoying. But, you've been on enough of this journey with us that I would have expected you to have asked before assuming the hardware is production ready. Even the M-Labs website states that it's still in development...

I haven't looked at the consumer-facing side of the M-Labs website in a long while. Looks pretty slick!

Best if project status is reflected in README.md as this is where we put authoritative info on Sinara modules.

We haven't done that in the past. Generally this stuff is all in flux and I'd always advise anyone not directly involved in the project to check with someone about the state of a project if they're not buying directly from M-Labs/quartiq.

Other than the overheating issues and PoE PHY death (both hardware problems), it is working well now.
